POSITION SUMMARY
The Store Manager is responsible and accountable for all facets of store operations including but not limited to product sales and pos transactions, product knowledge, customer service, product servicing, inventory, store appearance, end of day reconciliation and bank deposits. A Manager must have the ability to do the jobs as it relates to the physical and dexterity requirements, and be able to do the job as related to the service area work environment.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Product servicing that includes the servicing of Oreck products as well as other brand products. The Store Manager is responsible for the service work brought into the stores. Oreck Unlimited of NY expectations for service dollars are seven percent of total monthly store sales.
Inventory which includes ordering, receiving, and ongoing oversight and control. Inventory audits will be done on a quarterly basis. Inventory in the store should be rotated as to make sure older product goes out before newer products, sometimes that means shifting and restacking boxes.
End of day reconciliation includes balancing daily deposit sheets, entries into monthly report, cash drawer balance, e-mailing reports, calling Operations Manager with daily sales total, and making out bank deposit. These must be done end of day before leaving the store.
Bank deposits should be made daily prior to opening the store with Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays being the expectations.
Maintain store appearance, this includes windows, carpets, floors, shelves, and bathrooms. The store should be dusted as needed and vacuumed end of the day before leaving the store.
Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints.
Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods
Enforce safety, health, and security rules.
Examine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed and that it functions as advertised.
Examine products purchased for resale or received for storage to assess the condition of each product or item.
Estimate consumer demand and determine the types and amounts of goods to be sold.
Keep records of purchases, sales, and requisitions.

Education:High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience:1 plus years of experience in related field
Other Requirements:
Customer service is a very important part of our business. Every attempt should be made to make our customers feel at home. A big smile, acknowledging the customer when the walk in the door, and then doing everything possible to make the customers visit a great experience. Whenever possible help carry the customers sold products to their vehicle. This includes vacuums being picked from service. Do what makes sense to assist the customer.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The office will have minimal noise levels. Work performed in the service area can be dirty and dusty at times. No smoking is allowed in the retail center.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
