Director, Business Development

Overview In this key role, the Director of Business Development will be responsible for helping to grow the Landmark footprint nationwide by assessing and developing new partnerships with Managed Care Entities. Under the supervision of the VP, Business Development, the primary goals of this role include:
evaluating the market landscape to identify new partnership opportunities, working with cross-functional teams to assess new opportunities and overseeing and at times leading the partnership discussions end-to-end. This is a critical role within the organization with the opportunity to gain visibility into multiple aspects of the business and contribute to overall company growth. Virtual-Remote role. Responsibilities o Scan market landscape to identify new partnership opportunities o Build relationships with project leads and other key stakeholders at prospective clients o Develop client-facing collateral to support the sales cycle o Assist in negotiations of assigned prospective partners o Oversee stages of the business development process from initial sales meetings to contract signature, including contract preparation and participation in contract negotiations o Collaborate with other departments to ensure that diligence activities are scheduled and coordinated o Provide timely responses to inquiries from prospective clients and collaborate with Finance, Healthcare Economics, Operations and Innovations teams to address requests o Maintain client relationship maps and help manage the CRM tool o Identify opportunities to streamline processes and continuously improve and shorten the sales cycle o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors, relevant regulatory environment and local market dynamics Qualifications o Bachelor's Degree, MBA/ advanced degree strongly preferred o Requires 4
years of related experience o Requires understanding of health plan business operations and contracting structure o Experience in provider contracting or value-based payer-provider arrangements is preferred o Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word o Strong interpersonal skills, external presence, sales skills and team orientation to work across teams in fast paced, high growth environment o Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills required for this role Company Statement We are now part of Optum and the United Health Group family of businesses, backed by the resources of a global health organization working to help people live healthier lives and to help make the health system work better for everyone. Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Business DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
